Think that your cat needs a fancy set of dishes to eat from?  He doesn’t. But, what he does need is something that is sturdy and durable and it needs to be easy for you to clean as well. Cat feeders and bowls should be cat-proof. One type of cat feeder is a type that refills from a reservoir as your cat drinks from the bowl. These can be used to feed one cat for several days even. You can use these to feed multiple cats too. There are some disadvantages to using them though. For example an aggressive cat can easily prevent the other shyer cats from getting enough food.
It is also harder to know just how much food the cat is eating so you may not realize if he is eating less than he normally does. This is an important sign that he’s not feeling well and it can be a serious problem then. Cats that are finicky may waste a lot of food by refusing to eat it if it has been sitting in the feeder for too long.

Play is one of the best forms of exercise for a puppy. Fifteen minutes of vigorous play can be equivalent to an hour's walk. Many owners do not realize that games are also good vocabulary builders. When it's all part of a game that he enjoys, your puppy will very quickly learn the meaning of many words long before he is ready for formal training.

Playing with your puppy provides an excellent opportunity to observe his actions and reactions and to become acquainted with his innate character. Games develop alertness and intelligence and can also satisfy instincts for hunting, retrieving, and tracking. Terriers like to dig, wrestle, and fight, generally going for their mock adversary's throat. Greyhounds chase, corgis nip heels, and many working dogs prefer practical exercises to playful games.

Cats, like any other animal out there, can become sick.  There are several health problems that can affect your cat.  If you have never owned one though you may not realize just what those can be.  Knowing what to look for can protect your pet’s health.

The hairball is probably the most common of them.  Cats will groom themselves and this allows loose hair to come off the pet and end up in the stomachs.  Instead of passing easily, the hair can form a ball within the stomach.  If your cat starts coughing and hacking he may have a hairball that he’s trying to expel.

Although your cat doesn't realize it right now, after some tender loving care and a little shampoo, he will appreciate it. Cats hate water, that much is easy to see as he lashes out at you with his claws when he gets anywhere near it. Why would someone want to bathe their cat, then?
Well, they are dirty and can become flea infested just like a dog, so they do need them. Sometimes, you’ll just have to do it. The key is to not bathe your cat more than once a month as you will damage his skin and his hair if you do so more than that.  And, you can't do it.
